We are fortunate to live within short distance of beautiful, accessible countryside and have access to The Snowball Plantation activity centre within the District.

As part of North Yorkshire Scouts we also have access to many other campsites and activity centres which can be seen on www.nys.org.uk

Snowball Plantation is set in 17 acres of mature woodland and offers a range of facilities, eight camping sites, a large arena and two principal buildings. The site has a perimeter fence and is surrounded by farmland. At Snowball they aim to provide a safe environment in which young people can enjoy opportunities for constructive play, recreation and education. The size of the site and the facilities it offers makes it suitable for a wide range of outdoor activities from full, week long camps through to evening meetings.
